The Legendary 611 Returns This Fall - Railroad fans, mark your calendars—the iconic Norfolk & Western Class J 611 steam locomotive returns this fall to power the Shenandoah Valley Limited. Beginning September 26, excursions will run Fridays through Sundays for five consecutive weekends from the custom-built Victoria Station in Goshen.

Crozet Artisan Depot: September Guest Artists

Crozet Artisan Depot features two Guest Artist shows this September: painter Colleen Rosenberry of Shipman and multidisciplinary artist Abigail Treece of Charlottesville. Their work will be on display September 1–30, with a meet-the-artists event on Saturday, September 13, 11am–1pm.

• Colleen Rosenberry – Journey from Grief to Art: Resilient
  Colleen began painting in 2019 as a way to process the loss of her son. Combining acrylic and oil, her work reflects resilience, healing, and the search for beauty in the face of grief.

• Abigail Treece – A Joyful Reverie
  Abigail creates colorful ceramics and tufted textiles, blending practical function with playful design. Her pieces feature layered glazes, sgraffito details, and painterly yarn work made with natural fibers and sustainable materials.
