CART to host its 2nd Annual “Giddy Up Gala” - Based in Crozet, Charlottesville Area Riding Therapy (CART) is a non-profit that provides therapeutic recreational horseback riding to children and adults with special needs.

This Saturday evening, they will host their 2nd annual Giddy Up Gala at Henley Orchards for a night of live music, barn dance, and a silent auction. Adult tickets are $50 (if purchased in advance) and include a chili dinner and two drink vouchers. Click here for tickets. All proceeds benefit CART.

Hiking at Wintergreen - Did you know the Wintergreen area boasts more than 30 miles of trails winding through mountains, valleys, and forests? Whether you’re looking for a gentle walk or a challenging climb, there’s a route for every age—preschoolers, kids, and teens included.

These scenic paths, offering sweeping Blue Ridge views, are cared for by the dedicated team at The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen. Founded to protect the region’s natural environment, the Foundation works year-round to preserve its beauty and biodiversity. Through conservation efforts and educational programs, they keep Wintergreen’s trails open, safe, and inspiring.
