Crozet Trails Update – Featured Speaker at the March CCA Meeting

Crozet Trails Leader Gary Kuhns will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Crozet Community Association’s (CCA) next meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:00PM at the Crozet Library.

As Crozet grows, so does our trail network. This is your opportunity to hear the latest updates from the volunteer organization leading the effort to expand and enhance pedestrian and bicycle trails throughout our community.

Engage at the CCA and discover how you can get involved, whether by helping build a new pedestrian path over Lickinghole Creek, supporting the Powell’s Creek extension to Mint Springs, assisting with community 5K races, or volunteering in other ways. The Crozet Trails Crew welcomes participation from community members of all ages, fitness levels, experience, and availability. There are many ways to contribute to this outdoor amenity that benefits us all.

Additional details, including how to participate via Zoom, are available at https://cca.avenue.org/Crozet

Artisan Depot March Guest Artists -The Crozet Artisan Depot will feature clay artist Rachel Brown and oil painter Mary Jane Check as Guest Artists throughout March. The exhibit runs March 1–31 at the historic depot (5791 Three Notch’d Rd).

Meet the artists on Saturday, March 14, from 11 AM–1 PM

Rachel Brown, a Verona-based ceramic artist, creates hand-built pottery designed and painted freehand — no templates, no two pieces alike. Her show, Kindhearted Woman, highlights functional works that are both microwave- and dishwasher-safe.

Charlottesville oil painter Mary Jane Check presents Good Humor, a collection of imaginative works blending animals, food, and decorative elements into playful, surreal scenes that invite a second look.

Learn more or plan your visit at the Crozet Artisan Depot.

Board of Supervisors Meeting - There’s an Albemarle County Board of Supervisors meeting tonight, with the sole agenda item being County Executive Jeffrey Richardson’s recommended FY26/27 budget — the first step in determining whether the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will adjust the tax rate following an average ~6% increase in property assessments countywide.

When & Where: Wednesday at 12 PM, Room 241, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville. → See Agenda
